Michigan winters can be rough and sitting inside all the time honestly gets so old. Jake and I often find ourselves in the same old "dinner and a movie" routine but last week we decided to get out and so something different by snowboarding at Mt. Brighton! I grew up in the Metro Detroit area and I ALWAYS was a winter kid. Skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snow angels, you name it, I did it. When I met Jake in college, I asked him if he had ever been snowboarding. Once he told me no, I made it my mission to take him! We put it off for SO LONG, I was excited to finally experience this together. We visited Mt. Brighton because they have 25 trails and over 130 acres (its also the
How I Stay Organized & Plan My Week!
Its funny that this blog was a request because I personally don't think I'm very organized but I would say I have it together a little more than the average person, whatever that means. I run a business but I am operate with high function anxiety and depression so sometimes the littlest things can seem like big tasks! Groceries/Cleaning My week runs Monday-Sunday and Monday is my main day off. I often have to work on the fashion truck on Sundays so I usually get one day a week to pull my shit together before I am back to work. On Monday I usually don't relax but I am really working on filling my Monday with fun things. Every single Monday I do the following things! Get groceries
Boutique Questions Answered!
Okay, So people actually listen and read my blog. I asked you guys what you wanted to know about owning a boutique and what its like to work for yourself....I am laughing in my head right now because it is so hard to explain what its like to own a business until you do it! What is it like owning a store and managing everything yourself? Hmmm okay well...Its like everything is on fire and you're trying to smile and use your customer service voice while taming a lion. I ran the storefront, online and truck 100% by myself for
The CoCo Grand Story
What a week! I just returned from Las Vegas and I have had a whirlwind of thoughts in my head about our store, the story and how in the hell we ended up here! So I get asked a lot of questions about the store, some are like "are you the owner", "how did you start", "where do you get these clothes" so I am about to spill ALL if the details below. Let me warn you now, I don't have all of the answers. If you want to start a boutique, GO FOR IT. But, just know that EVERY story is different. When I was younger I was the BIGGEST tom boy ever and really I still am. I like sports and athletics and TBH sweatpants are the greatest invention on earth. BUT I still had every fashion video game
How To Spend A Weekend In NYC
Holy shiz, July was the month of travel! Jake and I traveled to Manhattan for a weekend away and it was so amazing. This was our original "summer" vacation that we booked back in March and I have been looking forward to this trip for months! If you were following us on IG, you know that our trip turned into a total mess. Friday night we were set to fly out of Detroit at 8pm and land at JFK close to 10pm. We were so excited to go to Times Square Friday night and have drinks together (a lot of bars in NYC are open until 4am). But we got hit with storms and we were stuck in Detroit until 12am and didn't arrive to our hotel until 4am 🙃 #EXHAUSTED. We didn't let this put a burden on
